If there’s such a thing as comfort chips like there is of #comfortfood, this chip would be it. The flavor was unexpected and such a pleasant surprise! It reminded me a lot of the seasoning of good Southern Fried Chicken. So like #friedchicken, you can SAY what the seasoning is, paprika, garlic, onion, the usual, but the ratio and the blend is completely custom and up to the pros to expertly craft. And Symphony sure are pros because man, this is such a good flavor. And genius! No other chip company I know of has done something like this, so there’s also points for true uniqueness.
The chip base itself is good as well, you can tell they don’t use weird additives since there’s no heavily processed taste. Good oil, good potato flavor and texture. There is a slight bite to the chip which is a nice reminder that the chips were once potatoes - instead of mutant of a chip where a potato was a distant memory away. But when #crisps are a thin to medium thickness, I do prefer them to be very slightly crispier. These are a great base nevertheless, and if you don’t enjoy mouth cutting chip crunch, the texture will be great for you! Not that I do, it’s just a call-out based on a small personal preference. -📍Thank you @symphonychips for sending these to me! You can find out more about them and their cool family founded/owned history on their site and IG.
