REVIEW: 🇪🇸 Ruffles sabor a Jamon

Updated: Sep 13, 2019

✈️ Chipalytics Travels!

First chip in #Spain is #Jamon Ruffles! Jamon is Spanish for “ham”, but these are definitely bacon flavored to me. Although bacon is still a ham that’s salt cured, so it’s like calling a flavor of something “fruit” instead of “strawberry”.

These have a good and relatively strong smoky bacon-y flavor. Very little meat taste, it’s definitely more about the smoke and the cure flavors of bacon. And I actually liked the #Ruffles chip base more than the American version! It’s crispy, small ridged which results in a nice crunch, not too hard and not too shitty tasting. - 📍Barcelona, Spain

So what’s going on with this chip? Here are its highly scientific stats: Saltiness: MEDIUM-HIGH Flavor level: MEDIUM-HIGH Thickness: MEDIUM, SMALL RIDGES Opinion ratings (1-10): Crunch: 7.6 Texture: 7.8 Flavor: 7.0 Overall: 7.4
