First chip in #Spain is #Jamon Ruffles! Jamon is Spanish for âhamâ, but these are definitely bacon flavored to me. Although bacon is still a ham thatâs salt cured, so itâs like calling a flavor of something âfruitâ instead of âstrawberryâ.
These have a good and relatively strong smoky bacon-y flavor. Very little meat taste, itâs definitely more about the smoke and the cure flavors of bacon. And I actually liked the #Ruffles chip base more than the American version! Itâs crispy, small ridged which results in a nice crunch, not too hard and not too shitty tasting. - đBarcelona, Spain
