Review: 🇺🇸Luke’s Organic Kettle Style Korean BBQ

I LOVE Korean BBQ so I was so excited for this one. I’ve never had #KoreanBBQ chips, so this was extra extra exciting on my end. And oh boy, did it deliver. The flavor is was not #galbi/#bulgogi/grilled meat flavor which would’ve been my first thought, but was gochujang instead. Works out because I love #gochujang, which is a traditional Korean condiment that’s a fermented red chili, soybean, and grains paste. Kind of hard to describe if you’ve never had Korean food, but think of it like a spicy and funky (in a good way) barbecue sauce. It’s sweet, spicy, slightly tart from the fermentation, and usually used in Korean hot stone rice bowls (#bibimbap) or as a sautée sauce or meat marinade. Or as a dipping sauce, it’s kind of a jack of all trades! The chip captured this REALLY well, its slightly sweet, there’s an aftertaste if fermented soybean (it’s not scary if you’re not into that flavor, it’s very mild), and actually spicy from the chili. There was definitely some 🔥🔥 with this chip, but it wasn’t too spicy for me. The chip itself is crunchy and a good thickness for a kettle chip, and is a great carrier for the mix of flavors. - 📍Thank you SO much to @lukesorganic for sending me these! You can find them on @amazon or @thrivemarket. So what’s going on with this chip? Here are its highly scientific stats: Saltiness: MEDIUM-HIGH Flavor level: MEDIUM-HIGH Thickness: THIN-MEDIUM

Opinion ratings (1-10): Crunch: 8.3 Texture: 8.2 Flavor: 8.4

Overall: 8.3 I live by some of the best Korean food in the world, LA Koreatown. These definitely were a great tribute to that. Btw, if you’ve never had Korean BBQ or bibimbap you absolutely absolutely must must try it.

Weird how ‘salt’ is listed as an ingredient for these, because they were not salty at. All. Which is a shame, because these are...
