This will be controversial and surprising from a person who eats and tries a lot of #chips, but I absolutely adore Lay’s Classic. To me, these are the perfect highly manufactured potato chip. Sure, sure there are #potatochips with higher quality potatoes and higher quality oil, but none are consistently as good to me as Lay’s. These are an American classic for a reason 😊 Yes, I understand some wouldn’t prefer the very thin crisp with high salt, but I love that combination. The thinness of the chip really allows the saltiness to shine. Each chip does have a side that has more salt, and I actually put the saltier side down on my tongue to get maximum salt. I have really low blood pressure, so I think I have a propensity towards high salt foods 😂
The chip is airy and breaks so well, resulting in an incredibly satisfying crunch - whether you’re eating one chip at a time or several in one bite. The texture is just the right amount, it’s not too smooth but not too rough like a kettle chip would be. You might knock this down for being a boring chip, but time and time again #Laysare a staple to accompany burgers and sandwiches, be in a huge bowl at social gatherings, purchasable almost everywhere, and made in 10,000 flavor variations. It’s for weirdos like me, who actually love an elegantly composed thin disk salt lick, and I urge you to really pay attention to the overall chip composition the next time you’re eating these. - 📍@bristolfarms, Hollywood
