A “chip-adjacent”! The main line of thought goes: potato chips → corn chips → salty corn puffs → #sweetpuffs. Of course with base ingredient deviations from that like a #Steinsgatetimeline (salty corn puffs → salty rice puffs, corn chips → bean/alternative ingredient chips etc.), but I’d say these are a distant cousin of chips. It still comes in an aluminum coated bag of air, so...I’m counting this one.
I used to eat #KuaiKuai as a kid, so it was fun to revisit their strawberry flavor. The fragrant and artificial Asian strawberry + the sweetness and creaminess of condensed milk = #yum. But probably not something a kid should be eating all the time 😂The puff is an airy curved corn puff around 2in. length x 1.5in. width. The puff has a full-on crust from the flavor, resulting in a very satisfying “break” - similar a bit to cracking the top of a #cremebrulee. Despite the sugary coating, the puff is still light and has the whole melt-in-your-mouth trait. Not much else to say about this, it’s just a yummy sweet puff, a must try for lovers of Asian strawberry flavors! - 📍@99ranchmarket, Irvine California
