Um, these are kind of good? Maybe just good? I fully expected to not like these, and think âYeah, yeah, healthier snacking options, made with vegetables, how can they be as good as #potatochips or cheese puffs?â. So theyâre definitely not as good as potato chips and cheese puffs, but DO hit the spot and are indeed a well crafted salty snack. Much better than the recent re-trying of Pirates Booty!
The straws had a decent crunch, although itâs not as crispy as something deep fried (of course). You can really tell these are baked because they donât have the really crispy break as unhealthy snacks do, but itâs not too bad or detectable. Pretty smooth and consistent texture, but the straws do have a tiny bit of texture. I think I wouldâve preferred a bit more texture though. Flavor is pretty fun, it does indeed taste like 3 distinct flavor bases - potato, carrot, and spinach. The straws are also salted well which is a relief, because I think if they were undersalted this snack would be gross. Curious to see how these stack up to other veggie snacks! Already theyâre better than the last ones I tried, Calbeeâs version from Japan (underseasoned, too smooth, not distinct 3 flavors). - đ@target, West Hollywood
