Honestly I couldn’t even properly review this chip because I thought it was so nasty. This is Fritos from #Mexico, #chorizo and chipotle flavor. Chorizo is a spiced pork sausage that I normally love, it’s great with eggs for breakfast and sometimes I get it in tacos/burritos, but man this is 🥴. The smell wasn’t bad, so I really didn’t know what was happening until I ate the first chip. The only way I can describe it is it’s a gross smoke flavor. The grossness comes from I think imitation (or real) of smoky old animal fat and lard 🤢
I didn’t taste the chip at all, the flavor was that overwhelming. I didn’t even notice how salty it was, or even the texture of the corn chip, but it was crunchy like a normal Frito. The shape of the chip was more scooped and wider than American #Fritos, but that’s pretty much the only other thing I noticed. I went back in 3x to try to figure out how I would describe the flavor for this review, but “nasty smoke with oil that’s been sitting out” is the best I could’ve come up with. - 📍@TiendasOxxo, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
