Ahhh so good. So good. Loves it. What a delicious Doritos flavor! I kind of went into it without high expectations, I usually don’t for what I consider “novelty” flavors. This, my friends, is not a novelty flavor. This is a legit Doritos flavor choice. It used to be 8 times out of 10 I’d pick Nacho Cheese, and 2 times out of 10 I’d pick Cool Ranch. And the off chance I tried a random Dorito flavor, I usually never get it again. The amended outcomes are now 7 times out of 10 Nacho Cheese, 1 time out of 10 Cool Ranch, and now 2 times out of 10 Poppin’ Jalapeño. Yes, this is how I approach chip selection, yes, I know it’s not normal 🧐
So on to the chip. Don’t need to say much about the chip itself, it’s a classic Doritos base - it’s super consistent in texture, crunch, and composition to all other normal triangle Doritos. Now for the flavor. Omg the flavor is SO good. If you’ve ever thought Cool Ranch needed an extra something but you didn’t know what, this is a must try. If you like chips with a kick but not too spicy, this is a must try. If you like Doritos, this is a must try! I’d say this chip is like a jalapeño + cool ranch hybrid, so Poppin’ Jalapeño is like a...jalapeño popper? It’s definitely jalapeño (the jalapeño flavor powder is bomb) but with a bit of creaminess/cheese, like the ranch component in cool ranch. - 📍Liquor Time Liquor, West Hollywood
