Have I ever had a Dorito I wouldn’t eat? I think not, and that streak is definitely not broken with this one. I’d say this flavor is a smoky lime on the consistently great #Doritos chip base.
The chip is the familiar triangle corn chip with corn bits and texture, amazing crunch as always, perfect thickness and flavor seasoned well. Maybe it’s because of my tastes though, but to me this chip was a novelty flavor even though I think it’s a permanent product in #Mexico. The smoked lime is good - not too limey or too smoky and pretty evenly split in flavor, neither flavor overwhelmed the other - but I don’t see myself choosing this over the classic #NachoCheese, #CoolRanch, or Poppin’ Jalapeño (try that one ASAP if you’re a Dorito lover). I feel like there could also have been a bit more salt, the lime and smoke flavors are not subtle so I think it needed more saltiness to round out the flavor profile. Otherwise, still a very solid chip and kind of perfect for a #Mexican beach day - 📍Random convenience store, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
