Wow ok, I actually preferred the last post’s less processed Trader Joe’s “Takis” over this one! I normally have the taste preferences of an unsupervised child, but not always. This is one of those times, where I actually preferred the more natural version over the highly processed one. Who am I?? Good stuff first. #DoritosDinamita did have a great crunch - it had the normal triangle Doritos fried chip “break” and a similar texture. I’d describe it as fried to a good crunch, and is not hard when you start chewing. In contrast, #Takis and the Trader Joe’s ones are harder, especially with the first chew/bite. The texture is Doritos’ corn chip base with some ground corn texture, which is slightly more textured than the other two. Not a bad base at all, but it does taste quite manufactured. The difference #Dinamitas has over the other two is that it has dairy in it. Cheddar cheese, buttermilk - hailing to its inclusion under the Dorito product umbrella. The cheese flavors aren’t that detectable, but it is there with a slight slight background tang. The whole flavor of the snack is more complex than the Takis/#TraderJoesversions of primarily chili (+other spices/yeast of course) and lime. Complex doesn’t necessarily mean a good thing though, this time I thought of it as over-engineered. Oh, and it’s artificially colored bright red 🔴🔴🔴. Overall a dank snack, but I definitely prefer the other two more. - 📍Random gas station, Hollywood
