My favorite chip I tried in #Mexico is also the last chip! I loved the plain salted Chip’s, so had to pick up the jalapeño flavor when I saw it. And it is yummmmy 🤤 The chip again was a thin hard fried chip - think kettle cooked but with a thin chip (unlike in the US where kettle cooked chips are thicker). The result was a super satisfying crunch and texture, they REALLY got that part down. This one has that slight potato flavor too, the plain salt ones had some kind of enhanced potato flavor, but it was less noticeable since this chip was 🔥🌶 Ok so here’s the warning. This chip is actually very #spicy. US jalapeño chips are rarely spicy-spicy, the most they have is a slight kick but it’s more about the pepper flavor instead of the heat. This one has both, pepper flavor AND heat, so it’s not just a kick. The chip has some redness to it, I think they added chili flavor to bring out the #jalapeño flavor, but the chip is a delicious, spicy, crunchy amazing snack. I’d say the spiciness level is a 8.5/10 (Flaming Hot I’d say is a 9/10 for reference, 10/10 is almost inedible spicy). If you like spicy #chips, this is a must try. I think Chip’s brand in Mexico in general is a must try for chip lovers. - 📍@TiendasOxxo, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
