I’ve had #Mexican Cheetos before, but not since I started this account. I remember thinking they weren’t great, and my memory actually served me right. These aren’t bad by any means, the texture and crunch is just as good as American #Cheetos - a great corn puff, compact yet not too light/flimsy, amazing crunch, and variable texture in a good way. The difference here is this Cheeto is slightly slightly spiced, and not cheesy at all. I definitely think it could have had more #cheese flavor, if I didn’t know it was Cheetos brand I would think it was just some knockoff slightly-cheese-essence corn puff. It was also not salty enough, and the spiced flavor wasn’t super noticeable. You can tell in the photo of the chip that this version of Cheetos won’t leave as much orange dust in your fingers, it almost looks like someone took Cheetos and blew on them or dusted them off. So what’s left over on the puff is just the thin layer of flavor just barely coating the Cheeto, instead of a Cheeto that rolled around a few times in neon orange cheese powder.📍Random convenience store, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
So what’s going on with this chip? Here are its highly scientific stats:
Saltiness: MEDIUM
Flavor level: MEDIUM
Thickness: MEDIUM PUFF
Opinion ratings (1-10):
Crunch: 9.6
Texture: 9.3
Flavor: 6.8
Overall: 7.1
So overall it was a snack with good crunch and texture, flavor wasn’t bad but it was definitely too low.
