Preferences in chips, and food in general, are so personal. I aim to have this account be informative, sure, but also know that not all my opinions are objective. This particularly comes to play when I’m reviewing my top favorite #chips. First off, I absolutely love classic potato chips that are only seasoned with salt. I actually prefer and gravitate towards a well crafted potato chip rather than flavors or limited edition novelty flavors. As a result, I do place a lot of value on how good the chip crunch is in relation to chip thickness and if the chip is seasoned well. I also like salty chips - since it’s the only flavor other than the potato and oil, it needs to be seasoned appropriately.
That brings me to one of my very favorite potato chips that can be found quite easily around the US: @capecodchips Original Kettle Chips. These chips are everything to me - salted well, crunchy/crispy, not too thick or hard, not overly overly greasy, and a delicious potato and oil base flavor. I understand not everyone will love them as much as me, maybe you prefer a less salty chip, maybe you want something with another oil, but these are one of my all time favorites. I even eat the curls 😝 - 📍@ralphsgrocery, Studio City

What are your favorite potato chip? I put Cape Cod and Classic Lay’s in the same category of best mainstream, less natural-natural chips, and Boulder Canyon as the best indie/natural chip.
