Review: 🇺🇸 Beanfields Bean Chips Nacho

Hm not bad! These are #beanchips, a mixture of beans into a triangle shaped chip that is a healthier, higher protein, and higher fiber choice to regular chips. The first thing I’ll have to say is that I was impressed with the seasoning! It was salted well with a really good spice mix that would honestly be good on any chip (not just a healthy one). That part was just hands down yummy 🤤 The chip is...interesting though, but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s bad-interesting. It’s just not what you would expect from something that is shaped/colored kind of like #Doritos. It’s more of a thin patty of ground up bean paste - but much less gross than my description haha. It has a nice chew to it, but is not really crunchy. It just breaks down as you bite and does have a substantial feeling to it (think the “meat” of a bean) which may have been heavy/dense IF it wasn’t seasoned enough. Luckily it was, so all in all I did appreciate their overall chip composition. - 📍@wholefoods, West Hollywood

So what’s going on with this chip? Here are its highly scientific stats: Saltiness: HIGH Flavor level: HIGH Thickness: MEDIUM-THICK

Opinion ratings (1-10): Crunch: 5.5 Texture: 6.0 Flavor: 8.7

Overall: 7.1 I wouldn’t say in isolation that this is the best chip ever. However if you want to make a healthier choice, this chip was a very satisfying snack with a great flavor. I’m a human trash can though, so while I do like the occasional healthy snack, I’ll still pick classic stoner #chips 9 times out of 10. The times I do feel like detoxing a bit though, I will definitely reach for these again.

Weird how ‘salt’ is listed as an ingredient for these, because they were not salty at. All. Which is a shame, because these are...
