Not sure why I didn’t have high expectations for this chip since Italians. Know. Good. Food. Maybe because in Italy my favorite meals have been driven by superior ingredients (understatement of the century) and technique, but the mostly sweet snacks I’ve tried have not been great. Also the bag says this chip is #glutenfree and -30% fat...soooo I was like ok this is a fancy health chip for non-degenerates unlike myself.
HOWEVER I am pleased to report, #Amica Alfredo Chips are amazing. Definitely definitely try these if you find them, they are an insanely well crafted potato chip. They have the same crunch and hard fry of #kettlechips, but are thinner. That combo produces a God-tier crunch, with lots of fun air bubbles. And like most things Italian, the chip still let’s the basic flavors of the potato, salt, and oil shine. My TINY comments are barely anything, I would’ve liked a bit more salt (they’re like a 8 salt level and I’d like an 8.5), and it was a little oily (nothing too bad though), but otherwise these are the perfect potato chip. - 📍@eatalyla, Los Angeles
