Never too long before I post about another Dorito bc Doritos are bae 💕 Thanks to a fellow snack account, I now know these are salt flavor #Doritosfrom Japan! And I think, this is such an obvious thing to do, why don’t they exist in the US? Then I remembered that I’m like 1 out of 50 people who actually loves regular #Fritos. These reminded me of Fritos, therefore I liked it a lot.
It was salted quite well, not too salty or undersalted. Per my Frito comparison earlier, this was less salty than Fritos because U-S-A, U-S-A 🇺🇸The Dorito texture and crunch was pretty similar to the cheese #Japanese Dorito I tried, the chip itself is slightly thinner than the American version, and less ground up corn bits. However because there’s no flavor powder, the texture of the chip was more noticeable and slightly greasier. Nothing too bad though, just something noticeable. - 📍Nijiya Market, West LA
So what’s going on with this chip? Here are its highly scientific stats:
Saltiness: MEDIUM
Flavor level: MEDIUM-HIGH
Thickness: MEDIUM
Opinion ratings (1-10):
Crunch: 7.6
Texture: 7.2
Flavor: 7.7
Overall: 7.5
This is also a chip I’d buy again from the Japanese market! They show it being used with dips on the back of the bag, but not sure I would like that over regular tortilla chips. I actually think they were good on their own. However, if you’re really used to flavor Doritos, and don’t care much for Fritos, you may not like this chip.
